Jack Turner and Adam Clayton become Crewe FC's new First Team Management Team
Crewe FC are delighted to announce that Jack Turner and Adam Clayton have been appointed as the new First Team Management Team with immediate effect.

Turner returns to the Club as Manager, having previously been in charge in 2019, whilst Clayton will mix both playing and management responsibilities in his role as Assistant Manager.

Steve Parker, Crewe FC Chairman had this to say;

“Jack was always our first choice. He previously oversaw one of the most successful spells in our history & but for Covid curtailing the 2019-2020 season, I’m pretty certain he would have delivered the Club it’s first Cheshire League title.

I’m delighted we’ve managed to get him back and i’m really looking forward to seeing the 1st Team getting back to where we expect it to be as the pinnacle of the Club.

I’m also really excited about Adam coming on board. Having seen Adam play during the time Jack was first here, you couldn’t help but be impressed by his commitment, attitude and application. His football knowledge, local contacts and the manner in which he conducts himself will be incredibly beneficial to the Club going forward, particularly as an example to the younger players we have here”.

Turner, who will begin his second spell in charge of the Club at home to Knutsford this Saturday is also excited about re-joining The Blues;

“I am delighted to be back & I’m looking forward to the challenge of getting the team back to where we all feel it should be.

Having spoken to Steve, it’s clear the Club have continued to progress with its plans to develop and we both want a first team that mirrors that ambition.

Adam and I have already brought in several players that we know will enhance the current squad. We both have exceptionally high standards and we’ll be demanding a lot from all of the players going forward to ensure we are successful once again”.

Adam Clayton, who also returns to The Blues for a second spell can’t wait to get started;

“It’s a really exciting opportunity to come in and help Jack with this talented group of players. We are confident that they’ll now kick on and get Crewe FC back to competing at the right end of the table.

Whilst I’m hoping to be involved a lot on the playing side, this role will also provide me with an opportunity to develop my coaching and management skills, something I know the Club is fully supportive of.

Crewe FC is a huge community Club with exciting plans for the future both on and off the field and both Jack and I can’t wait to be a part of it”.
